NUELAS COLLEGE

Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses the NUELAS COLLEGE Learning Management System ("the LMS"), which is run by NUELAS COLLEGE ("the college"). By signing in, you agree to them.

1. Your account

  • Accounts are created by the college for its students and staff. Use only your own account.
  • Keep your password and verification codes private. Do not share them with anyone.
  • Student accounts can be used on one device at a time. Signing in on another device signs out the first one.
  • Tell the college straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

2. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • try to get into another person's account or into parts of the LMS you are not allowed to use;
  • copy, share, sell or publish course materials outside the LMS without the college's permission;
  • upload anything unlawful, offensive, or that you do not have the right to share;
  • interfere with the LMS, for example by trying to overload it or get around its security.

3. Course materials

Course materials in the LMS belong to the college or to the people who created them. You may use them for your own studies only. Work you submit remains yours, but you allow the college to store, mark and keep it as part of your academic record.

4. Videos and YouTube

Course videos are hosted on the college's YouTube channel using YouTube API Services. By watching or uploading videos in the LMS, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Staff who upload videos must make sure they follow YouTube's rules, including its Community Guidelines, and must not include music, film clips or other content they do not own or have permission to use. 5. Fees information

Fee information in the LMS is shown for your convenience and comes from the college's records. If something looks wrong, contact the college's finance office.

6. Suspension and end of access

The college may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or college rules. Students keep access for as long as they are active students of the college; access ends when the college records that they have completed or left their studies.

7. Availability

We work to keep the LMS available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
